I thank the BNP Chairperson for her call for a national unity. National unity of all major political parties will definitely encourage the common people to join the campaign against terrorism which is a global problem. We must realize that it is not merely a law and order issue but the problem is far too deep-rooted. The religious leaders also should be included in this campaign as they will be able to instill in our people the true essence of Islam which is peace and love for the mankind. All sections of our people are denouncing the killing incident at Gulshan. Bangladesh has always been known as a place of peace and tolerance. We all should all talk about peace and refrain from spreading hatred as it will only serve the purpose of the extremists. Gulshan carnage, which took away 28 valuable live, shocked us beyond measure. I hope the ruling party will realize that it is high time they made a political consensus in the country. Let us stand united and fight terrorism together.
