THE Tigers have reached New Zealand and soon they will start their tour with the first one-day international match on December 26. The cricket fans of Bangladesh are waiting eagerly to watch the contest. Since the Tigers are playing abroad after a long time, it will be interesting to see how they perform. New Zealand however is the favourite to win so the Tigers have nothing to lose. They should play fearlessly and prove that they are worthy opponents even in the foreign conditions.
We know that all sub-continental teams struggle in New Zealand conditions, so we should not expect too much from the Tigers. The Kiwis are not taking Bangladesh lightly as they know it very well that the Tigers can be a dangerous opposition in any given condition. All the cricket loving people around the world will watch closely the BD-NZ encounter. Three ODI matches will be followed by three T20 and two Test matches. The one-month long tour will test the Bangladeshi cricketers in foreign conditions. The Tigers already played two practice matches in Australia to acclimatize themselves with conditions in New Zealand so that they can put up a good fight against the Kiwi cricketers.
