BANGLADESH face New Zealand in the second Test starting from today, January 20 and it will be interesting to see how the Tigers cope up with their defeat in the first match. The supporters were shocked with the way Bangladesh lost the match. They saw Bangladesh in the driving seat for most part of the match to only be unseated in the last session of the match. But now the less we say about the defeat the better. If we can win the second Test, we can salvage some lost pride and I believe we can do that.
Surely the hosts will be buoyant from their first Test win and they will want nothing less than a clean sweep. Bangladesh may play without their ace batsman Mushfiqur Rahim and it will be a big setback for Bangladesh. Mushfiq was in good form and his absence will make Bangladesh batting line-up considerably brittle. The major cricketing powers no longer take Bangladesh lightly and we must give the New Zealanders a fitting reply.
