THE 10th Indian Premier League (IPL) came to an exciting finish and Mumbai Indians clinched the title for the third time when they beat Rising Pune Supergiants by a solitary run. The final ball of the tournament was needed to decide who would have the last laugh.
This year IPL drew bigger crowds and was free from any controversy. It was a befitting finale and in the end Mumbai Indians came out with flying colours. Now twenty-twenty cricket has become a popular mode of entertainment and this shorter version of cricket has reached newer heights of popularity with each passing year.
Increasing popularity of twenty-twenty cricket confirms that the shorter version of the game is here to stay and it presents us with many more memorable cricketing memories. Congratulations to Mumbai Indians and wish Pune Supergiants better luck next time.
