Successful disaster management!

RECENTLY, Cyclone Mora claimed six lives and displaced many in Bangladesh's coastal areas. Besides, thousands of houses and few coastal shelters including the Rohingya camps were destroyed. However, the cyclone caused far less damages than in the past. With shelters hosting up to 500,000 people, this is a huge improvement for Bangladesh in terms of governmental relief efforts in keeping casualties to a minimum.
Moreover, Bangladesh was able to set up food and relief distribution channels coordinate volunteer efforts and form almost a hundred medical teams - despite natural disasters being a common factor in the country's seasonal cycle. Since countries like Bangladesh are more vulnerable to any effect of climate change, citizens are optimistic as fruitful steps were taken and lessons learnt from previous experiences.
