REAL Madrid, the giant professional football club of Spain, has won the European champions trophy for the 11th time which is unprecedented in the history of football. It has beaten Atletico Madrid in the tiebreaker after the match was tied at 1-1 in full time. The fans of Real all over the world including Bangladesh were ecstatic over the victory of their favourite club. The Real Madrid fans waited eagerly for the final as it was a feast for the football crazy people. Top clubs of Europe vie for this trophy as it is one of the most prestigious football tournaments in the world.
It is good to see the enthusiasm of Bangladeshi football fans around the European Champions cup. That goes to show that football is still a very popular sport in our country. It lost its glory only due to the declining standard of our football. The common people still hope that football will get back its lost glory and we shall see brilliant footballers like Salahuddin again shining in field.
