ONLINE shopping is fast becoming popular in our country. Although it is a relatively new concept in our country, it has established its roots firmly in the developed world during the last couple of years and as such the volume of online shopping is increasing everywhere and it is hoped that in the coming days more businesses are likely to join the ranks in large numbers. Many shoppers do not like to go out and shop mainly due to heavy traffic congestion and time constraints and for them online shopping is a convenient option. Many small and big business houses are joining online shopping circle and in most cases the response is satisfactory. Besides, many Bangladeshis living abroad are buying gift materials for their near and dear ones living in Dhaka through online services. Looks like, online marketing will become more popular and all renowned industries and trading houses will choose online selling as one of their important marketing tools. I am sure the e-commerce will open a new window of opportunity for the young tech savvy people who want to start a business on their own but cannot make a big investment in the traditional way. I am sure that e-commerce has come to stay and make a big impact on our marketing arena.
