OF late, bus fares have been raised. Increased bus fare affects the common people and students. As per the rules of the government, a student is supposed to pay half the fare, but the reality is different. The transport owners do not follow the rule and half fare is not taken from students in local and sitting bus services.
On the other hand, written information is pasted on the body of a bus, "half fare is not allowed for students". In reality they take two-thirds of bus fare from and misbehave with the students. They also ask them to get down from bus if the fare does not suit them.
I urge upon the concerned authorities to look into this problem and take necessary steps in this regard.
