MUSTAFIZUR, the golden boy of Bangladesh cricket, has won the ICC Award as the best emerging player of 2016. It was quite expected as our cricket has been basking in the glory of Mustafizur Rahman for last couple of years. He became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to receive this prestigious award and the whole country is elated for his being selected for this honour. He played and impressed the world not only playing for the Tigers, but also in the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he bagged 17 wickets in 16 games and made a crucial contribution to win the IPL trophy for his team Sunrisers Hyderabad. The world is now watching how he fares in the Bangladesh-New Zealand series. All eyes are set on Mustafizur as he has just recuperated from a shoulder surgery. He came into limelight when he played an ODI against Pakistan in 2015 and took two wickets in his debut match. Later in June 2015, he bowled his devastating spells against the touring Indian side and took 13 wickets in only three ODIs.
