MOUCHAK-MOGHBAZAR flyover may be just another name for a road linking Mouchak with Tejgaon I/A and beyond. The name of the flyover may be simple but for those who are using it regularly, it is like a perpetual nightmare. The flyover links places like Moghbazar, Mouchak, Shantinagar, Malibagh, Eskaton and Tejgaon Shatraasta which are the busiest areas of Dhaka city as several financial and educational institutions, hospitals, and corporate offices are situated there. The sufferings of people know no bounds due to slow and lengthy construction work of the flyover. Long delays due to traffic gridlock and crowd of people have become regular phenomenon in the area. A distance of 15 minutes at the most from Khilgaon to Rampura takes one and a half hour which is intolerable. The roads have already been narrowed down due to the construction work. Moreover stock of construction materials, wreckage, etc., beside the roads are making the situation worse for the pedestrians. Dust, underground electricity, gas, water, and fibre optic cables are factors which may not been taken into account before construction work was undertaken. The citizens of the areas have no idea when the construction of the Mouchak-Moghbazar flyover construction will be completed and they will get rid of the inhuman sufferings. Can anybody answer the question?
