DESPITE laudable development, illiteracy among the older generation remains to be a major problem in the country. To strike the SDG goals it is urgent to create awareness of education among them. Our main focus should be on the young people who are the potential leaders and torch-bearers. Only a literate person can understand the importance of education and the young generation knows about the art of communication and building relationships.Â
We shall be able to add speed to our march for development by educating the older generation. Some organisations have been working for adult education across the country. But still there remains a lot to be done. We should put greater emphasis on it to build a new and better Bangladesh.
