Waiting for a peaceful Rakhine land

ACCORDING to the UN, at least 30,000 Rohingyas have been displaced by violence and brutality of the Myanmar armed forces. They have been made victims of gang rape, torture, eviction, firing, assault, and carnage since Myanmar military started its crackdown on the Rohingyas. It is completely inhuman and unacceptable. In any case, the Myanmar government must stop  torture and oppression on the Rohingyas and rehabilitate them on their own land ensuring citizenship and security. As a neighbouring state as well as having friendly ties with Myanmar, Bangladesh has a responsibility to resolve the
Rohingya issue on the basis of mutual respect and understanding. Bangladesh can call upon other powerful neighbouring countries like China and India, and the world bodies like the UN to exert pressure on Myanmar to bring an end to the unequal conflict and torture and oppression on the Myanmar authorities so that  the Rohingyas get back their fundamental rights and rights to citizenship.
