Tigers\' real test in Tests

THE Tigers will start their first of the two Test match series against the New Zealand on January 12. Undoubtedly the hosts will be in a more comfortable position as they already drubbed the Tigers in one-day and twenty-twenty series. The woes of the visiting team compounded further as Mashrafe is out of reckoning with a thumb injury and may not be able to take part in play for more than a month. Mashrafe hurt himself while he was trying to stop a powerful drive from Kane Williamson in the third T20 match. The Tigers will have to put in their best to salvage their lost pride in the longest version of competitive cricket.  Mashrafe is a great fighter and his absence will make matters more difficult. Luck does not seem to be on the Tigers'. They need to be more alert on the field so that no chances offered by the opponents go a-begging. They should plan their innings session by session so that they are not overwhelmed. It is really tough for the players to live outside their homes for such a long time. I hope we shall see some positive cricket in the test matches from the Tigers.
