THE students of Bangladesh lose their valuable youthful years in quest of government jobs, specially BCS cadre jobs. Someone gets a cadre job and someone does not and has to remain satisfied with a non-cadre job. There is no certainty of a job after obtaining a non-cadre pass.
Sincere thanks to the Prime Minister and the Education Minister for nationalising four hundred schools and colleges. Teachers of the schools and colleges, which have been nationalised, are being treated as first class government officers although they have not been appointed from either cadre or non-cadre sectors.
We therefore urge the authorities concerned to appoint teachers in those schools and colleges which have been nationalised from non-cadre pass candidates. If it is done so, then a lot of students will be benefited. We know teachers are the architects of a nation. We should therefore appoint qualified teachers and evaluate them properly.
