I was shocked to know that one of my favourite singers Junaid Jamshad died in a plane crash. His death once again reminded me that life is so temporary and uncertain and we really have no idea about what will happen the next moment. Â I remember listening to his numerous soulful songs during the early 1990s. He proved once again that music has no frontier and no barrier. He was hugely popular in the Indian subcontinent. Â The singer-turned-cleric worked as a vocalist of hugely popular rock band Vital Signs. Â In 1987, Junaid's pop band created a sensation by its popular number " Dil, Dil Pakistan". Â Later he presented many super hit songs like "do pal ka", "gore rang ka zamana" etc. and did many concerts at home and abroad. Â In 2004, Junaid officially renounced music and devoted his life to religious services. Â During his lifetime, he created a lot of controversy, but we cannot deny his influence on music. I like him because he always did what heart told him to be right. Listening to his songs makes me nostalgic. Â Now I remember his song "do pal ka ye jiban hai" (this life is only for two moments!) Â
