Ramadan and importance of healthy diet

Water is very important for our life and during the Ramadan month we should drink enough water after breaking our fast till the dawn so that our body can function properly during the day.  In the iftar, we should avoid drinking carbohydrate drink and artificial juice.  We should opt for lemon drink which is very healthy for us.  We should avoid drinking too much tea or coffee. Instead we should go for green coconut water or milk.
Seventy per cent of our body is made of water so it is an important element. Many people do not drink enough water and feel dehydrated. Water helps us to remove toxin from our body and helps us to remain fit and fine.  We should avoid oily, spicy and street food in iftar and it is the best time for quitting smoking.  I know many people who successfully quit smoking during the month of holy Ramadan.  It is indeed the best time for quitting smoking. We should be careful about our diet during Ramadan and poor diet may be the cause of many health complications.  If we take care of our health and diet, we can enjoy a healthy and fruitful Ramadan and devote our time in  spiritual practice.
