Protesting Rohingya repression

IT is sad and unfortunate that the people of the world are silent over the atrocities being committed by the Myanmar authorities against the Rakhine Muslims under an ethnic cleansing programme. No religion nor any law prevailing throughout the world permits killing and driving people out from their homeland leaving behind their ancestral homes and belongings.
The Rohingyas have been living in the Rakhine state for centuries together. They are natural citizens of Myanmar but their rights of citizenship, along with their fundamental rights, are being trampled under the boots of the Myanmar army and they are being subjected to oppression and torture and they are being compelled to flee their homes. Everyday thousands of victims are entering Bangladesh, one of the most densely populated countries of the world, to take responsibility of an added burden.
The brutalities of the Myanmar government against the Rakhine Muslims should not go unchallenged. The world conscience should rise to the occasion and voice its protest and condemnation in bitterest language. We, the Bangladeshis, are against oppression of any kind and urge upon all neighbouring countries, particularly the powerful nations like China, India, Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia to come forward to the aid of Myanmar Muslims and restore their birth rights and rights of citizenship. They should exert their influence to stop the atrocities of the Myanmar authorities and save the lives and properties of Rakhine Muslims.
