THE Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) is the main gateway to our country and every year hundreds of thousands of people visiting Bangladesh come through it. But the way the airport is maintained speaks a lot about us as a nation. A few days ago, I went to the HSIA to receive one foreign guest of mine. As we were coming out from the airport, we saw a big (really big) hole on the exit road and I was shocked to see it as we do not expect to see poor condition of our airport road. It was an embarrassing moment for me.
I do not understand why the concerned authorities do not repair it and how it remains unrepaired for a long time. I think, such negligence is tarnishing our image outside the country. I hope the authority will put the road in order without any further delay.
