Is corruption-free society a dream?

WE want to emerge as a developed economy by 2041 as per vision of the present government. The GDP, inflation rate and all other indicators show that we are on the right track. But one of the major issues that figures as an impediment on our way to development is corruption. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has full authority to weed out corruption from society. Even if we assume that ACC is well-equipped and empowered properly there are many other steps to be taken to curb corruption. What we need is to build counter intelligence as check and balance mechanism so that corruption can be checked before it is committed. Corruption is on the rise because people resorting to corrupt practices are neither facing any challenge from their own authorities nor society boycotts them for their heinous activities. On the contrary, corruption is being indulged or overlooked. We must set examples for the next generation by uprooting or at least controlling corruption to a minimum level. Otherwise, the dream of a developed economy will not be materialised.
