In our country, many children from poor family background are toiling away their childhood in various kinds of jobs and it is really unfortunate. These children are supposed to go to schools and enjoy their childhood in sports and fun but due to financial constraint, they are unable to do so. Â
Around 5 million children are working as child labourers and 80 per cent of them are working in rural areas, and 20 per cent of them working in urban areas. We have to eradicate the child labour as it is inhuman. Â
We must ensure that every child of our country goes to school. If we can provide especial scholarships for the ultra poor children, then it will encourage their parents to send them to school instead of work. Often we see poor children working long hours in hazardous works as they find no other alternative. Â
Lack of education remains an impact of child labour. The poor parents see that if they send their children to work, they will get some money which will help them to survive. It is high time we save our children from child labour and ensure a bright future of our country.
