THE veteran physician M R khan, who was widely known for his love and care for the children, has breathed his last at the age of 88. He was a pioneer in facilitating child treatments across the country with affordable costs. Â He also established children wards and treatment facilities in government hospitals. He introduced immunization program in the country and with his arduous effort polio was eradicated from the country. Â He not only played a big role as a physician but also made significant contribution as a social activist who was vocal against social evils like smoking. He also used to prescribe very few medicines for his patients. Â He rendered his services for children tirelessly until a few months before his death. He is a role model for other physicians. May his soul rest him in peace.
