A few days ago, I went to the cardiac ward at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) to visit one of my relatives. My relative is about 83 years old and he is accustomed to using commode at his residence. He was in great difficulty since there were no commodes in the toilets and more importantly, all the toilets were awfully dirty. Moreover, the hospital was short of beds as a result of which some patients were left to use hospital floors. All wards were overcrowded with patients.
I would therefore request the concerned authorities of RMCH to look into the matter and take steps to install commodes in some toilets and keep the toilets clean.
