Lessons to learn from Chinese experiences

Lessons to learn from Chinese experiences

The Chinese are an innovative and diligent nation. They have created a highly sophisticated civilisation and contributed significantly to human progress over the course of 5,000 years.

In the past, China was ruled by landlords and kings as well as oppressed by foreign powers. In the 80 years between the Opium War and the birth of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the ceaseless struggle of the people had all failed despite their heroism, hopes and lofty inspiration. But that picture has completely changed over the last 98 years.

With the birth of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which was the outcome of integrated movement of the workers and peasants, the Chinese people have taken their destiny in their own hands. The CPC, under the leadership of Comrade Mao Zedong, unfurled the Red Flag in the East on October 01, 1949 and since the People's Republic of China has been playing a leading role in the comity of nations.

We believe that the Chinese nation will never again be bullied and oppressed so long as the Communist Party of China will exist and uphold the banner of socialism with its ideological philosophy of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Xi Jinping Theory.

The CPC is a political party with deep-rooted connection with the people that is politically firm, theoretically mature and intellectually capable. Its strongest point is that it can accurately grasp the pulse of the time and social development. The Communist Party of China has acquired rich experiences and learnt many lessons and is capable of leading the people in braving difficulties to win victory after victory in the revolution, reforms and economic emancipation.

Comrade Mao Zedong innovated Marxism in the context of China and Comrade Deng Xiaoping formulated the socialist market economy and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. Time has proved that the pragmatic leadership of the CPC has transformed China into a modern China.

Comrade Xi Jinping has further innovated Marxism in localised form. It has given importance regarding Global Governance which provides the theoretical and intellectual guidance for Chinese diplomacy under new circumstances.

The Communist Party of China strives for both the wellbeing of the Chinese people and progress of the humanity in general. CPC's abiding mission is to make new and greater contributions towards the welfare of the mankind.

Innovative growth and technological development have made China the world's second largest economic power. China contributes more than 30 per cent of global economic growth and is poised to become the leader of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. China has been continuously increasing investment in research and development and strengthening intellectual co-operation on technological innovation.

In terms of some key innovation indices, China is already among the world's leading players. Historical records confirm that China's achievements in scientific and technological innovation are not something stolen or forcibly taken from others like imperialist powers; it earned its achievements through self-reliance and hard work.

We are observing that the Chinese leadership, led by Comrade Xi, has given importance regarding poverty eradication with a view to building a moderately prosperous society. At the end of 2017 China's rural population in poverty dropped to 30.46 million from 98.99 million in 2012 with an impressive reduction rate of 70 per cent. China's significant achievements in poverty reduction could be ascribed to the fact that its government has given high priority to poverty alleviation with clearly set goals, and China has set a great example for other developing countries in poverty reduction.

To accelerate industrial development and economic growth the Chinese government has given importance to adhering to the road of peaceful development. China has a profound understanding of the characteristics of the present age and international trends. It has a sincere desire and a resolute determination to follow the path of peaceful development. This is a new road that satisfies the interests of all members of the international community.

The beauty of Chinese leadership is that theory can adjust and readjust policies and decisions within the pace of time. Comrade Mao established the New China, Comrade Deng Xiaoping had turned China into a modern Country and Comrade Xi Jinping puts forward the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation through Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The people of Bangladesh have a long tradition of struggle and scarifies. They also had cherished economic emancipation and exploitation-free society. For this reason our people laid down their lives, faced so many difficulties and oppression in 1971 to establish an independent country under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

After the killing of the Father of the Nation our people became frustrated as the then rulers of the country deviated from the philosophy of freedom struggle. Now Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the initiative to turn the country into a digital and industrial Bangladesh within the present socio-economic conditions. For sustainable development we need sustainable policy related to national interest. For a prosperous and economically sound Bangladesh we can learn many lessons from China.

During 70 years of New China, Chinese leadership and people have not deviated from the basic philosophy of New China. Chinese leadership has turned their huge population into an asset -- giving them proper education and technological know-how. We have a lot to learn from Chinese experiences.
