A recent Al Jazeera video footage shows that members of the police force are helping to set fire to a Santal shanty. It was really horrifying to see how brutal a tragedy befell the Santal community. The Santal community was subjected to eviction, ravage, murder and harassment because of the police, whereas they were responsible for the life and property of the Santals. We therefore want a proper investigation into the incident and the concerned authority must penalise the offenders.
