A new flyover connecting New Eskaton road to Mouchak market has been inaugurated on September 16 which has already started bearing fruits and is contributing to reduce traffic congestion in the area. The flyover from Sat Rasta to Moghbazar has been playing a very effective role in reducing traffic jam in the Moghbazaar area. Dhaka is a mega city with a continuously growing population. I think Dhaka needs more such flyovers and U-loops so that the traffic is not slowed down and stuck in grid locks. At the same time, if the roads are in good shape there are little chance of traffic jams. The concerned authorities should also take steps to repair the broken roads and enable motorists to drive smoothly. In this way we can restore system and order in traffic movement.
