Farm Gate is an important bus terminal in Dhaka city. But it is neither a starting nor finishing point of any bus route. Rather it is a mid position of many bus routes. Many passengers get down here for onward journey to various destinations. That is why normally there are not enough vacant seats available as a result of which many passengers have to either keep standing or wait for vehicles where vacant seats will be available. Particularly the female passengers have to suffer a lot.
The situation has been the same over the years. In view of the perpetual hardships of the female passengers, the BRTC should launch a double-decker service on Farm Gate-Pallabi route.
