I suddenly felt like writing something and sharing it with my fellow readers of The Financial Express about Dilip Kumar, a legendary actor of Indian cinema. I am a great fan of his acting prowess and I never feel tired of watching his timeless movies like Mughal-e-Azam, Aan, Azad, Shakti, Ganga Jamuna and several other movies. His talent and acting skill took Indian cinema to a new height. People still become mesmerised by his unrivalled acting.
Recently he was admitted to a hospital when he was feeling unwell but he came back soon afterwards and all his fans and admirers were delighted his fans are glad to know he is all right. Dilip Kumar's original name is Mohammed Yousuf Khan and he was born in Peshawar, Pakistan. In the late 1930s his family moved to Mumbai. He got his break in Mumbai filmdom with the film "Joar Bhata" and soon he shot into fame with his natural acting talent. "Jugnu" was the first film that brought him to limelight. He is known as "tragedy king' of Hindi cinema. Dilip Kumar holds the Guinness Book of record for winning a maximum number of awards by an Indian actor. The Government of India honoured him with "Padma Bhusan" in 1991. He is still equally popular and loved throughout the Indian subcontinent.
