Uber service begins in Chattogram

Uber, the world's largest on-demand ride-sharing company, on Thursday announced the launch of its services in Chattogram.

With the launch of three products - UberX, HIRE and MOTO, Uber expanded its services to its second largest city in Bangladesh, reports UNB citing a press release.

"Since the start of our operations in Dhaka, we've continuously received a lot of love from our riders and driver partners in Dhaka," said Prabhjeet Singh, Regional General Manager (RGM) of Uber.

"We're thrilled to be here in Chattogram and be able to provide mobility options and flexible income opportunities to the citizens of Chattogram," he said.

Mentioning that Bangladesh has been one of Uber's fastest-growing markets, Prabhjeet was hopeful about the potential of the port city.

Uber launched its service in Dhaka a little more than a year ago, and has received an overwhelming response from both rider and driver partners.
