Three-day Indonesian trade fair begins Thursday

A three-day Indonesian trade and cultural festival styled "INDONESIAFAIR 2018" will kick off at Le Meridien in Dhaka on Thursday aiming to enhance the country’s trade and investment in Bangladesh.

The Indonesian Ministry of Trade, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, and the Indonesia- Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry will jointly organise such first-ever trade show in Bangladesh with the support of Indonesian companies Pertamina, Angkasa Pura I, Adaro Energy, INKA, and Japfa Comfeed.

Ambassador of Indonesia to Bangladesh Rina P. Soemarno made the announcement at a press conference at the city hotel.

President of Indonesia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry M A Khan Belal was, among others, present at the event.

Around 45 Indonesian exhibitors will be showcasing diverse consumer and industrial products, culture, and tourism products in the fair.

A delegation of around 100 Indonesian business people is expected to take part in the fair.  

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Rina P. Soemarno said "INDONESIAFAIR 2018" is aimed at increasing the visibility of Indonesia in Bangladesh as well as encouraging Indonesian entrepreneurs and companies to expand their business in Bangladesh.

She also said the annual event would be continued in future.
