The government is set to hold the fifth meeting of the taskforce, which was formed to review commodity prices and market manners and do whatever deemed fit to keep the supplies within commoners' buying capacity, today (Wednesday).
Advisor to the Prime Minister Salman F Rahman and Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will attend the meeting on essentials prices and market situation, with Senior Secretary of the commerce ministry Tapan Kanti Ghosh in the chair.
The meeting with traders and trade bodies will review the price situation in the kitchen markets.
The meeting will discuss the supplies and price situation of commodities during the upcoming Ramadan.
Representatives from top importers, retailers and wholesalers will join the meeting.
