Square Textiles Limited has orginised its 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Dhaka Club in Ramna area of the capital city, recently.
The company declared 20 per cent cash dividend and 5.0 per cent stock dividend to its shareholders for the year ended June 30, 2017 in the meeting.
The turnover, gross profit, and net profit (after tax) of the textile company were Tk 7,758.88 million, Tk. 788.94 million and Tk 413.74 million respectively for the year ended 30 June 2017.
The company contributed an amount of Tk 131.22 million to the National Exchequer.
Samuel S Chowdhury, Chairman of the Company, was presided over the meeting, according to a press release.
Ratna Patra, Vice Chairman; Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director; Anjan Chowdhury, Director, M Sekander Ali, Independent Director; Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin, Independent Director; Md Kabir Reza, Chief Financial Officer and Khandaker Habibuzzaman, Company Secretary were present in the meeting.
