Antiseptic brand Savlon celebrated World Handwashing Day through organising some awareness related campaigns this year.
Savlon arranged a rally jointly with the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) marking the day, says a press release.
Handwashing soap and other elements were also distributed among the general people.
Local Government & Engineering Department (LGED) Secretary Abdul Malek inaugurated the programme in presence of 600 students from different universities.
Edward Big Bedder, the Bangladesh representative of UNICEF, was also present as the special guest at the event.
World Handwashing Day was observed on October 15. The slogan for this year’s campaign was ‘Clean hands, for a beautiful future’.
