A four-year programme has been launched to increase the capacity of investors and entrepreneurs to deal with social business and environmental issues.
The initiative was titled 'Biniyog Briddhi (B-Briddhi) -- Scaling Impact Enterprises of Bangladesh'.
Germany-based financial consultancy firm Roots of Impact (RoI), Bangladesh's commercial consultancy firm Light Castle Partners (LCP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) jointly launched the programme through a video conference on Thursday.
The investors and entrepreneurs, who will play a positive role in addressing the environmental problems as well as improving the condition of the backward people, will receive financial assistance under the programme.
The opening event was attended by entrepreneurs, investors, start-up accelerators and incubators, said a press statement.
Under the programme, applications will be accepted from entrepreneurs and investors through a website -- www.sie-b.org.
