The number of truck registration in the country stood at 7,365 in the first ten months of the current calendar year, according to official data.
Of the total, 5,558 trucks were registered in Dhaka alone, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
A total of 12,663 of such vehicles were registered in 2018 while the number was 10,353 in 2017, the transport regulator data showed.
