The number of registered motorised vehicles in the country stood at 378,945 in the first nine months of the current calendar year, as per official data.
Of the total, 122,733 motorised vehicles were registered in Dhaka between January and September 2019, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
Of them, the mode of vehicles that had the highest number of registration were motorcycles while cargo vans were the lowest number registered vehicles.
307,656 motorcycles were registered from January to September while the number of registered cargo vans was only four.
Besides, only 12 cabs were registered during that time, said the data.
