The number of registered motorised vehicles in the country stood at 340,328 between January to August 2019, according to official data.
Of the total, 109,304 motorised vehicles were registered in Dhaka, as per Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
Of them, the mode of vehicles that had the highest number of registration were motorcycles while cargo vans were the lowest number of registered vehicles, found the data.
275,857 motorcycles were registered between January to August 2019 across country while the number of cargo vans registered was only two.
Besides, only 13 cabs were registered during that time, said the data.
