The government has extended 13-digit online VAT registration deadline till November 30, 2019 says a National Board of Revenue (NBR) statement.
National Board of Revenue (NBR) took the decision based on the requests of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) and other chambers and associations of the country.
The government expects that the new deadline will facilitate smooth submission of monthly returns as well as other business activities including imports and exports and submission of tenders.
The taxpayers have been requested to collect VAT registration visiting the website www.vat.gov.bd.
Collecting VAT registration is mandatory for all types of businesses.
The government has decided not to extend the deadline any further, said sources.
