Nasreen Sattar has recently been appointed as an independent director of Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB), says a press release received on Thursday.
Prior to joining the bank, she was an independent director and member of the executive committee & audit committee of IPDC Finance Limited, the statement added.
Nasreen began her glittering career with ANZ Grindlays Bank, Bangladesh as a management staff in 1986. In 2000, Standard Chartered Bank acquired ANZ Grindlays, and she continued to serve in various roles within the bank.
In 2006, Nasreen became regional head for development organizations segment covering South Asia, before becoming the chief executive officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Bank in Afghanistan from 2007 to 2009.
Currently, she is also serving as the chairman of Consumark Limited, a Bangladesh-based consultancy firm.
