More than 15pc agency commission not allowed from August 1

Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) has decided to take legal action against any company, if it allows more than 15 per cent agency commission from August 1.

Chairmen, vice-chairmen, directors and top executives of non-life insurance companies held a meeting recently and took the decision.

Sheikh Kabir Hossain, president of BIA chaired the meeting. Mahbubur Rahman, chairman of Eastland Insurance Company Ltd and other senior business leaders also attended.
