Marico Bangladesh Limited and Standard Chartered Bangladesh have signed an online customs duty payment agreement recently.
Under this agreement, Marico Bangladesh Limited will be able to execute their duty payments against their imports through Standard Chartered’s online platform Straight2Bank (S2B) Next Gen. The first live duty payment transaction via S2B Next Gen was executed during the event.
Mr. Ashish Goupal, Managing Director, Marico Bangladesh Limited (Sitting 1st from left) and Mr. Apurva Jain, Head of Transaction Banking, Standard Chartered Bangladesh (Sitting 2nd from left) signed the agreement at Marico’s Head Office on behalf of their respective organizations. Mr. Elias Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer, Marico Bangladesh Limited; Mr. Enamul Huque, Head of Commercial Banking, Standard Chartered Bangladesh and other senior officials of both the organizations were present at the signing ceremony.
S2B Next Gen offers the ability to make import duty payments to customs houses directly on a near real time basis, thus saving significant time and minimizing manual processes for the Bank’s clients.
