Leaders Forum BD (LFB) Trust, a Dhaka-based registered platform of corporate and business leaders and managers, has made a clarion call for corporate fraternities to wake up to stand by endangered humanity in times of any national emergency.

It says Sunamganj and Sylhet districts are the worst affected in ongoing floods in recent history. People, animals, crops and every species are in grave danger due to flash floods compounded by the onrush of water from the upper-riparian region.

Dozens of corporate leaders from more than 23 sectors came and breathed new life into the second founding anniversary of the LFB at a city club on Saturday evening.

They expressed their intent to give back something to society no matter if it is nominal and urged everyone to chip in for the water-locked people in the flooded areas in the country’s north and north-eastern regions.

The celebration point was humming with a mélange of corporate minds as they met, greeted and mingled on the magnificent summer evening. LFB founder Khandker Kabir made a PowerPoint presentation of the past year’s achievements and the next year’s action plan.

The event was rounded off with a dinner followed by a raffle draw.

The LFB was born on 13 June 2020 when Covid-19 was at its peak in Bangladesh and beyond its territory. It began life with an eye to rebuilding and reshaping the corporate world, devastated by the pestilence, through learning leadership lessons and skills.
