Joycalls’ chatting service for the visually impaired

Being not able to see the world is such a curse which can't be expressed in words. Even in a digital world where services are offered to overcome such challenges, some unprivileged people are left behind.

However, to close that gap, only a few companies in the world have been working. Joycalls Bangladesh is one of them.

Joycalls’ users say the company is focused on customer engagement and value creation for better living, not on revenue extraction.

“I’ve been using chatting services from Joycalls for the last 1.5 years. Their IVR service helps me to not feel challenges. I can make friends without someone's help, connected with everyone," said Shoriful Islam, a 30-year-old visually impaired man from Khalishpur, Khulna. He is using the Joycalls social chatting IVR platform.

Shoriful recently received one gift from Joycalls as an appreciation of being a loyal customer. "I was so surprised when Joycalls called me and said they wanted to send a gift to me. It was so exciting for me,” he added.

Joycalls has been working in the country’s telecom market for over five years, providing new marketing channels, strategies, and concepts to different companies, according to a company news release issued on Monday.

It is part of “Joycalls Group”, a leader in the Russian mobile market, having more than 10 years of experience in Europe and Asia.

Telecom operators such as Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi, Airtel and Teletalk are its clients in Bangladesh.

“We’re really honoured for partnering with Joycalls and Bondhu Shandhan and we would continue bringing more innovative digital services like this in future,” Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, a top official of the Robi Axiata Ltd, said,

Mikhail Ivanov, the International Business Development Director of Joycalls Group, said they feel good that they are active in a fast developing country like Bangladesh.

“We want to be by the side of the people of this country by doing more work in the field of telecommunications industry,” Mike said.

Arif Ahmed Adito, Managing Director of the company’s Bangladesh chapter, said, "Thanks to skills and hard work of all of our team, they are seeing success in targeted value-based marketing and value-added services in the Bangladesh market today. Work is underway to provide some more new services upfront.”

Recently, he added, the company introduced two new products.
