IPDC OGROJ sheds lights on Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin

The sixth episode of IPDC OGROJ was held recently by IPDC Finance, the country’s first private sector non-banking financial institution. The episode, which was aired live on IPDC's official Facebook page, presented the narratives of a protagonist who has played an instrumental role in developing Bangladesh's economy. Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, eminent economist, teacher, and writer Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin was present as a guest in this episode of 'OGROJ'. The episode was hosted by Anis A Khan, a well-known name in the banking sector of the country.

 

Host Anis A. Khan has been seen steering an in-depth conversation with guest, Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin,who narrated the remarkable initiatives and experiences from his career at different stages of his life.

 

Son of Habiganj, Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin has made unprecedented contributions to the economy and social welfare in the post-independentera. With a humble beginning in his career as an educator in the sixties, he was later appointed as the private secretary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.As the seventh governor of Bangladesh Bank, Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin had a decisive responsibility to determine the economic policies of the country. By eliciting several international development partners and social service organization, Dr. Farashuddin has been recognized internationally and domestically for his role in the welfare of the country

 

He has not only played a significant role in the field of education through the establishment of East West University and disseminating knowledge across several other universities but also left an everlasting mark by publishing a few books in his name.
