ICCB leaders off to HK to attend APBF, EBAC meetings

ESCAP Business Advisory Council (EBAC) Chairman and International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh (ICCB) President Mahbubur Rahman left Dhaka for Cyberport, Hong Kong on Sunday to attend the 5th EBAC meeting and Asia-Pacific Business Forum (APBF) 2018 begins on Monday.

Mahbubur Rahman will deliver welcome address at the opening ceremony of Asia Pacific Business Forum 2018, said a press release.

The Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2018 aims to strengthen business engagement in achieving inclusive and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Specifically, the Forum will discuss how private sector-led innovation, technology and financing can enhance efforts towards achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and associated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The delegation members also include ICCB Vice President Rokia A Rahman, ICCB Executive Board Members Anwar-Ul-Alam Chowdhury, Kutubuddin Ahmed, Fazlul Hoque, DCCI President Abul Kasem Khan, ICCB Members M Arshad Ali, Asif Ibrahim Mohammad Shahjahan Khan and ICCB Secretary General Ataur Rahman.

Mahbubur Rahman will also deliver opening remarks at the 5th EBAC meeting as its chairman which is scheduled to be held on Monday.

Rokia A Rahman and Asif Ibrahim will also be attending EBAC meeting as its member and Asif Ibrahim will moderate a plenary session on EBAC Task Force on Disaster and Climate Risk Reduction, reports UNB.

They are expected to return home on April 13.
