Agrabad Corporate Branch and Khatungonj Corporate Branch of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) jointly organised a webinar on 'Compliance of Shari`ah in Banking Sector' recently.
Meah Md Barkat Ullah, executive vice president and head of Agrabad Corporate Branch, presided over the meeting, said a press release.
Major General (Rtd) Engr Abdul Matin, chairman of the bank’s Risk Management Committee, addressed the programme as the chief guest, while Muhammad Qaisar Ali, additional managing director of IBBL, was present as the special guest.
Mufti Sayeed Ahmed, vice chairman of IBBL Shari`ah Supervisory Committee, addressed the programme as the chief discussant.
Md Shamsul Huda, executive vice president, Miftah Uddin, senior vice president and head of Khatunganj Corporate Branch of IBBL, executives and officials of the bank’s different branches, among others, attended the webinar.
