The Guardian Life Insurance Limited (GLI) has initiated an online programme titled 'Accelerate 'Guardian of the Future' for the development of young professionals, says a statement.
It is a rigorous eight-hour 'Finishing School Programme' for the future guardians of the country, focusing on the new normal. It aims to empower graduating students, graduates, aspiring professionals, and Executive MBAs with the tools to enact positive change within themselves, their companies, and the community through a unique opportunity of being trained and assessed.
The programme has been designed to assist the young community by imparting knowledge and skills on four critical dimensions -- discovering themselves amidst the new norm; empowering themselves towards self-development; self-management as they embark on the career journey; and lead themselves to self-mastery.
The implementation partner of this programme namely Lighthouse Bangladesh jointly with the Guardian Life recently launched this signature 'Finishing School Programme' in a virtual launching ceremony on September 5 in presence of representatives of over 15 partner educational institutions and prominent corporate personalities.
The programme aims to develop 200 Guardians within the next two months.
Dhaka University, Daffodil University and Presidency University have already joined as strategic partners and 15 more prominent educational institutions are in the process of getting on board.
Certificates will be given to the participating students after an evaluation process and their CVs will be forwarded to corporate employers, bridging the existing gap.
M M Monirul Alam, CEO of Guardian Life, said, "GLI understands the importance of skilled youth and always promotes skill development, especially in youth. A developed nation is inevitably a skilled nation. In times of crisis, classroom learning for skill development may be unsafe or impossible. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, universities and classrooms nationwide have shut down indefinitely. With no face-to-face interaction, online training provides a safe and effective alternative to the classroom.”
