A delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) left Dhaka for London on Saturday to join the Commonwealth Business Forum and Cardiff Business Seminar.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also attend the programme to be held on April 16-18, said a press release.
FBCCI President Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin is leading the 27-member high-powered business delegation.
Prosperity for the Commonwealth member-countries and trade and growth-related issues will be discussed in the forum.
FBCCI leaders will also meet with the representatives of other Commonwealth countries and put in their efforts to expand bilateral trade and attract foreign investments.
Sheikh Fazle Fahim, senior vice-president, FBCCI, Md Muntakim Ashraf, vice-president, FBCCI, and directors Md Kohinoor Islam, Tabarakul Tosaddek Hossain Khan Tito, AKM Aftabul Islam, Amzad Hussain, Azizul Hoque, Rashadul Hossain Chowdhury (Ronni), Helena Jahangir, Priti Chakraborty and Mohammed Riyadh Ali, Md Shirajul Islam Mollah, president of Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers & Exporters Association, and Md Siddiqur Rahman, president of BGMEA, are members of the delegation.
The FBCCI delegation will also attend the Cardiff Business Seminar organised by Cardiff-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce.
