DHL Global Forwarding has launched its second around-the-world scheduled flight to connect Asia, Europe and the US, spurred by strong growth in demand for air freight, chiefly for outbound services.

The leading international provider of air, sea and road freight services announced this on Thursday, according to a Media OutReach statement.

The Boeing 747-400F freighter will operate a South Korea-China-Europe-China service, in addition to transpacific east- and westbound flights that include Shanghai, China, and Cincinnati, USA.

Terming efficient and reliable logistics infrastructure as key, DHL Global Forwarding Asia Pacific’s CEO Kelvin Leung said the new scheduled flight will facilitate timely and safe movement of goods.

It will also streamline the transportation process, thereby optimising the customers' supply chains and improving their products' time to market in the today's highly competitive business environment, he said.

DHL is a part of Deutsche Post DHL Group. It is decisively positioned as "The logistics company for the world".
