Denim expo from May 9 with focus on supply chain equality

A two-day long ‘Bangladesh Denim Expo’ will start from May 09 at International Convention City Bashundhara in the city aiming to highlight equality in the supply chain in order to develop better working relationship.

The show will focus on equal rights, opportunity and responsibilities of all stakeholders in the apparel supply chain to ensure safety in workplace, sustainable work practices, environment and transparency.

Founder and chief executive officer of Bangladesh Denim Expo Mostafiz Uddin said, “The Expo has already become internationally recognised one-stop sourcing platform for all aspects of jeans wear from fabrics to finishes.

“We are expecting a cumulative increase of visitors from across the world in this 8th edition of the expo”, he added.

Some 61 exhibitors from 14 countries including Bangladesh have already confirmed their participation at the show.

There will be four seminars during the show on ‘made in Bangladesh-from analogue to digital’, ‘what makes a good jean?’, ‘sustainable production initiatives’ and ‘sustainable finishing today’.
