The number of covered van registration in the country stood at 2,817 in the first eleven months of the current calendar year, according to an official data.
Of the total, 2,327 covered vans were registered in Dhaka alone during the period, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
A total of 5,729 such vehicles were registered in 2018, while the number stood at 5,176 in 2017, the transport regulator data showed.
The data also revealed that 32,097 of such mode of vehicles were registered until 2018.
